InVision/FilmCan
A screening of student work. Half the program presented will be
work that has been juried and selected for this evening's
presentation. The other half is work that has been made by local
high school students who have been mentored in a program developed by
the Victoria Film Festival.
FilmCan
Is an opportunity for local high school students (from Spectrum,
Esquimalt, Reynolds, Parklands, Vic High, Oak Bay, St. Margaret's,
Mount Doug and St. Michael's University School) to create a short video
from beginning to end and have it screened at the Film Festival.
Guided by mentors Dave Malyscheff(narrative), Sherry Lepage
(documentary), and Brian MacDonald (experimental) the teams work
through their ideas and then go on create the world premieres that you
will see here tonight.
