This documentary filmed in Victoria, BC follows journalist and activist Jody Paterson and retired sex worker Lauren Casey as they challenge mainstream thinking and push the legal limits of the world's oldest profession. Their goal is to open the first ever legal co-op brothel, operated by sex workers, for sex workers.

Humanizing a world riddled with myths and pre-conceived notions The Brothel Project takes viewers on a revealing ride through Victoria, Vancouver and abroad to New Zealand that makes us wonder if a mainstream bordello not only could be, but should be possible.

A question and answer session will follow the screening. The Q&A panel will include Director April Butler-Parry, Producer and Writer Gillian Hrankowski and Journalist Jody Paterson.
