Reynolds High Wants FilmCAN! PDF Print E-mail

Today, Victoria Film Festival Operation Manager and man about town, Mike Vardy, spoke with Reynolds High School about FilmCAN. Happily, we can say that Reynolds High School is now the second school fully on board. They were excited to hear about how FilmCAN works and are now eagerly planning their own short films to enter the competition.

Our aim is to educate and expose students to filmmaking and encourage, motivated students to create a great film. To assist in this endeavor, students will have access to a professional filmmaker as a resource to offer suggestions, feedback and even facilitate in finding props or locations.

To date, Spectrum Community School was the only school having FilmCAN as part of their criteria and they have a good head start on the competition. With Reynolds now on board, it will be a much tighter competition. There are other schools starting to gain interest in the program, but they're going to have to hurry as the deadline is December 15th.
