ConVerge is back again this year and even better! Last year saw over 100 ConVerge film goers hop between venues in Victoria's Chinatown. ConVerge demonstrated the changing delivery methods of film and allowed audiences in informal and unusual settings.
ConVerge breaks down the traditional barriers to where, when and how films are seen. There was a ton of excitement from everyone involved and the event helped establish a little community. ConVergers chatted, shared insider tips about which films they liked and where they'd seen them.
Scott Amos, local filmmaker, was instrumental in organizing ConVerge last year and left the event feeling both triumphant and excited for the future. "This is an event that's going to keep growing," said Amos.
This year we've moved from Chinatown to Bastion Square and Trounce Alley. You'll be able to watch films in Irish Times, Helmcken Alley, The Zone Ranger and many other hidden spots along the way.

The most interesting venue of all this year could be the patrons themselves. ConVergers must start out at Bastion Square near the Maritime Museum and receive a Victoria Film Festival USB flash-drive wristband that doubles as your access pass and contains two short videos that can be watched along your ConVerge travels. Scott Amos may not be hosting ConVerge this year, but he will still be a part of it with his video being exclusive to this custom USB drive.
