In this class you’ll learn techniques for fleshing out characters and delivering dialogue in a believable fashion.

Let’s Make a Movie (June 12 &13)
Movies are stories and Lets Make a Movie is all about telling a story with a video camera. We don’t just talk about it, we do it ( in a very short time!) Your small group will make a short movie in about an hour. There’s plenty of opportunity to be creative. You can then take the editing workshop and watch it being edited and then you can show your friends the great short movie you made. (Spilt Milk Comedy Theater)
The Magic of Editing (June 12 &13)
Watch and learn how to take too much footage and cut it down to make a lean, to the point film.
Camera Techniques (June 12 (9.45 only) &13)
Learn how to shoot a movie and not make your viewers dizzy! Find out tricks of the trade to make your movies look like the professionals.

Green Screen (June 12 &13)
All the blockbusters use it and you can use it too!!
This technology was originally invented as a film technique to put your actor over another background. Where do you want your story to take place?
VJing (June 12 &13)
Can you mix video the way DJs mix music? Yes! Learn to scratch, process, mix and create video in real time, all to the beat of music!

Special FX Make-Up (June 11, 12 &13)
Experience the magic of movie make-up. Learn how to create a scar, bump or black eye.

Stunt Workshop (June 11, 12 &13)
Join in the action with a seasoned fight choreographer. You’ll learn some of the ins and outs action scenes from start to finish.

Creating Sound Effects (June 11, 12 &13)
The blast of a gun, footsteps on the stairs or the roar of a lion – how do they make those sounds in the movies? Explore the world of sound and see how professional sound effects make a great movie.
Costume design (June 11, 12 &13)
Costume designers are responsible for choosing or creating all the clothes you see on the screen. Careful wardrobe choices help to tell the story, set the mood and bring the characters to life.

Animation (June 11, 12 &13)
Make it move! Make it groove! Every student gets a chance to play with an under the camera stop-motion setup similar to what is used on the set of Wallace and Gromit. Give motion to your wildest imagination and create a short movie and learn the basics of animation along the way.
Music for Film (June 11, 12 &13)
See and hear first hand how a film composer uses computer software like Logic Pro and Garageband to create musical scores for picture and learn more about how to add sound and music to your own projects.
Expressing Me (June 13)
Learn how to get emotion and thought across on film without using words. Come by for this fun interactive session that will show you the way to develop ideas through improvisation, play, and your own inspiration. Come and express yourself!

Everyone Is A Critic (June 13)
Learn to write your own reviews as you discover the tips and tricks on the way to becoming ‘the critic’. Hear from a pro how to interpret a film’s main theme, subtext, and direction.

Screenwriting (June 13)
Introduces students to the basics of writing for film and television. Find out how to keep audiences glued to the screen. Learn the secrets of creating heroes and villains worth watching. Bring your own story idea and let’s see if it has movie potential!
