For many, the issue of climate change is an impossibly large and far off crisis, but for the people of the Pacific Island nation of Kiribati it is a battle of life or death taking place right now. In the face of rising sea levels, the many inhabitants of these low-lying islands face their home, and 4,000 year old culture, on the verge of destruction.

President Anote Tong now races against the clock to find a way to prevent disaster and maintain his people’s history and future.
