They leave behind their restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca – twice named world’s best restaurant and a holder of three Michelin stars –for a gastronomical journey through Scotland in the hope of uncovering the secrets behind a long-overlooked cuisine. Together, they embrace new experiences and challenge their palates as they travel through Scotland’s various regions, unearthing a surprisingly dynamic cuisine along the way.


As the film suggests, the pairing of local food and drink is the soul of a region’s cuisine. Get a taste of something unique from the Island with award-winning and locally owned Toque catering and Sheringham Distillery. This soup is a local speciality, from the town of Cullen in Moray, on the northeast coast of Scotland. The soup is often served as a starter at formal Scottish dinners. Cullen skink is widely served as an everyday dish across the northeast of Scotland.
