WORLD PERSPECTIVE: CHILE
Gloria (Julianne Moore) is a divorcée in her 50s who spends her days at a straight-laced office job and nights living it up on the dance floor of LA. After meeting Arnold (John Turturro) on a night out, Gloria’s life is drastically altered as she now has to navigate the complex world of dating and budding love.
Academy-award winning director Sebastián Lelio (A Fantastic Woman) tackles his own material as he remakes his critically acclaimed 2014 film Gloria, and by transporting the backdrop from his home in Chile to LA, he brings an outsider perspective to Americana in a way seldom seen on film.
