Isle of Dogs, the latest feature from director Wes Anderson, takes us to an alternative Japan where the mayor of Megasaki City banishes all the dogs to Trash Island due to an outbreak of canine-flu. A young boy named Atari refuses to be without his dog Spot but when he crash lands on the island in a rescue attempt, he must join forces with pack of mismatched, abandoned dogs to journey across this mysterious island in search of Spot.

Wes Anderson returns to stop-motion animation for the first time since Fantastic Mr. Fox to create what might be his crowing achievement in design. Beautiful and intricate, Isle of Dogs is a film to be watched again and again to appreciate all the amazing detail that has gone into it. It helps that Anderson’s unique style of deadpan humour flows through every vein of the film making it one of his funniest and emotional movies yet.

Isle of Dogs won the Silver Bear Award at the Berlin film festival this year and boasts an incredible cast of voices including: Brian Cranston, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, and Scarlett Johnasson just to name a few.
