Synopsis
McCartney and Lennon, Bono and the Edge, Cummings and Bachman, rock history is filled with dynamic duos whose careers are defined by creative bonds that have filled the airwaves with unforgettable music and lyrics. Add to that list, Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor’s fortuitous high school meeting that led to a lifelong brotherhood and Blue Rodeo’s emergence over the past four decades as one of this country’s most beloved bands. As Rolling Stone said upon the release of Try in 1987, “the best new American band of the year may very well be Canadian.”
From their early days in Toronto’s clubs and popularity of their live shows to the legendary recording of Five Days in July, the band reconvenes for an intimate jam session that shows how their immense talent has only grown through the highs and lows over the years. Incredible archival footage elevates the stories behind the classic songs that have become the soundtrack to so many lives. –AR
