Synopsis
Corsage – Starts Sunday, January 15th
It’s a year in the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. The year is 1877, and the account is fictional. Still, the context has a realism to it as Elisabeth, once idolized for her beauty, turns a monumental age and suddenly becomes deemed old by society. Elisabeth fights back with ferocity.
Vicky Krieps, as Elisabeth, won the best performance prize at Cannes, while Corsage is nominated in the International category for the 95th edition of the Academy Awards.
