In Canadian writer/director Anne Émond’s unique rom-com Peak Everything (Amour Apocalypse), the line may be long, but the voice feels near. Suffering from depression and eco-anxiety, Adam (Patrick Hivon) calls a tech support line by mistake and is captivated by Tina (Piper Perabo). He heads to Sudbury to see her IRL. This charming, Canadian-set film closed the 50th Toronto International Film Festival.
