The Vic Theatre is available for rent for your special event. Perfect for independent screenings, fundraisers, presentations, or parties.
Every event is different, but many people share the same questions. We’ve put together the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
If you’re doing a private screening, you don’t need to have your film rated. However, if your event is open to the public, your film must be rated in the province of B.C.

Renters are responsible for selling their own tickets both in advance and at the door. We do not have a POS system or cash float available for private rentals. The VFF can provide online advance ticket sales for an additional fee. Contact The Industry Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.

The Vic Theatre is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We schedule our programming 2 months in advance. Please check date availability with The Vic Theatre Manager. Bookings are not considered confirmed until a 50% deposit is received and a contract signed.
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
Rentals include the services of one VFF staff member to open and operate basic lights and sound. Additional labour fees are dependent on requirements of the renter.
Rentals do not include ushers or box office staff. Renters must supply a front of house manager to oversee ticket sales and venue security while an audience is present unless other arrangements with the VFF are made.
If you require graphic design services for your event, we can provide that at an additional $50/hour.
WiFi is available for your event upon request at an additional fee of $40. This is an excellent option if you need to stream a presentation to the screen, such as a PowerPoint presentation.
