COVID-19 Policies - victoriafilmfest

COVID-19 Policies

The Queen is very picky about the details, she always wears gloves, and she hangs out only with fully vaccinated guests. We want you to relax and enjoy our films, and therefore we took all the hassle into our hands.
So, give us a double, “say friend and enter”.

Before you come

Okay, let’s talk seriously, bro and sis. Want some fab indie films on a big screen? Want some popcorn to crunch and munch on? Here is the deal: you must show proof of full vaccination as well as a government-issued photo ID.

“You Shall Not Pass” The Vic Theatre’s door if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • New or worsening cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • New muscle aches or headache
  • Sore throat
  • Have traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days
  • Are or have been in close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19

While you’re here

Present proof of your full vaccination and a government-issued photo ID.

To protect our guests, staff, and volunteers, we ask you to please wear a mask at the box office, in the lobby, and the theatre. The mask can be removed to sip your drink or eat your popcorn.

Credit or debit cards with a tap are preferred to cash.

The seats, box office, concession area, and washrooms are disinfected between screenings.

Popcorn is made and served by a person in a mask and wearing gloves.

Please keep a social distance between yourself and other movie lovers.

From the Queen….

The Queen strongly recommends that you use the facilities at home before you come to the theatre. We clean and disinfect The Vic Theatre washrooms before and between film screenings but our washrooms are not a contactless experience.

The Queen asks that you not congregate in the lobby unless you are purchasing items from the concession.

The Queen says please stay with your group and maintain physical distancing from other parties as much as possible.

The Queen suggests you enjoy popcorn and a beverage while you relax and watch the movie.

Thank you to everyone for your incredible support as we move forward into our “new normal.”

Be out, be in, but be safe.
