STUDENT FILM SCHOOL STARTER

Snapshots is an interactive, introductory filmmaking workshop led by experienced, award-winning local filmmakers and artists who teach youth the fundamentals of writing, lighting, editing and camera work using smartphones and other do-it-yourself style solutions.

In this one-hour session, students learn the fundamentals of story formation, composition, editing and lighting. With direction and support, students are encouraged to create and share their own short films. Snapshots is free to schools and youth groups.

Life at its best is inspired by rich imagination. The VFF is proud to offer several programs for children and youth, designed to tap into their creative spirits and to restore and replenish our own.
