Cree-Métis filmmaker Tanner Zurkoski combines live action documentary with vibrant hand-drawn animations that depict the histories told through oral storytelling traditions. Zurkoski shares histories through interviews and archival footage, including the 1864 confrontation between the Kingfisher trading vessel the British Royal Navy and the Ahousaht First Nation. These histories tell stories of sovereignty and resistance that will continue to live on for generations.
